Welcome to the George J Johnson website

George J Johnson works in Sheffield where he makes his fabulous Mokume Gane(wood-grain metal) jewellery in silver, gold and copper and also forges and fabricates his steel and stainless steel work.  George is a natural hands-on maker.  He found his way into these materials as a child, learning to weld in the family workshop when he was 10 years old.  He creates his work through a physical engagement with the material, discovering the design through the act of making.
